Basic Overview of Chihuahua Training
Posted Under: Uncategorized
Chihuahuas are firebrand little dogs that actually make wonderful pets for the elderly. Their little size makes them fit in a big home, a small apartment and anything in between. These little dogs make dedicated partners to a couple or a single elderly person, rather than a family with small children. Here are more concerns about owning chihuahuas, all concentrating on the chihuahua training:
Do Chis do well in dog sports?
Chis may be smaller than those who hog the top positions in dog competition contests, but they are all dog and show that they are up to the challenge of obedience, agility, flyball, and the like.
Are Chihuahuas ideal dogs for the family?
Not so much. “Wawas” prefer bonding with one single person, rather than sticking close to a family. The dog is also territorial, and if you own one, get ready to be owned and “guarded”, for that matter! The dog will of course think of you as the the only one deserving of the title “dog owner,” but will find it a horrible and a totally illogical idea to share you with others, and so may want to flash its incisors to anyone or anything that gets close to you. But aside from such a distant possibility, the dog with Chihuahua training is a happy and alert companion to their lone master.
Are Chis excellent pets?
Chis make interesting and engrossing pets. A chi without chihuahua training, and therefore has a dominant streak, is even capable of tearing up your newspaper, peeing on your slippers, and knocking out of your hand your morning coffee.
Can Chis be litter-trained?
They could. With Chihuahua training, chihuahuas have the chance of being good apartment or condo pets (and as long as the people in the other units can take the barking). When housetraining your dog, orient them to relieve themselves either outside, or on pee pads, or in a litter box. When the dog shows signs of going, just pick the dog up and bring it to its relief-spot. Reward it when it is successful. The dog will catch on soon enough.
Are Chis welcoming of training?
Wawas are not exactly the trainer’s model dog. In fact, the dog can put up a very convincing obstinacy and stubbornness, for the reason that they are bright and capable of manipulating people and owners to fulfill their whim. Anyway, training a chi will above all things mean that you need to communicate to it that it is in their best interest to follow what you want of them. The dog breed is not for everyone; it will simply baffle novice dog owners, and leave the rest frustrated. Being dog smart is the best way to live life with a Wawa.
